Canucks Fundraiser
The Canucks will be hosting our annual fund raiser at the Clubhouse on August 16th, which is the Sunday after our last regular season game. The funds will be raised this year for “Inn from the Cold”, a well established organisation that helps homeless families break the poverty cycle and get back to their feet.
In the past we’ve raised funds for Allies for Autism, the Childhood Cancer Foundation, and for Roger Duurtsema’s mother to support her through a double lung transplant.
As usual, we’re going to have a cook off, a silent auction (start looking for items now), outdoor fun (croquet with the typical Canucks twist to it) and video game tournament. On top of the cook off, we will have someone manning the barbeque and plenty of beer to quench your thirst. We’re obviously open to any fund raising suggestions and would welcome any volunteers.
